King of the universe,
And you make the Sabbath holy.
While lighting the candles:
You are blessed, Lord our God (Lord our God),
King of the universe,
You make us holy with your laws,
And you command us to kindle the lights of the Sabbath.
Before drinking the wine:
You are blessed, Lord our God (Lord our God),
King of the universe,
And the creator of the fruit of the vine.
Before eating the bread:
You are blessed, Lord our God (Lord our God),
King of the universe,
And you bring forth the bread from the Earth.
