THE RIGHTEOUS DROMEDARY
One day, a dromedary in Egypt was approached by a man. The man said, "I want to go to Jerusalem. Would you please give me a ride there?" And the dromedary replied, "Certainly. I would love to help you." So the man said, "Thank you," and pulled himself up in front of the dromedary's first hump. And the dromedary began walking to Jerusalem.
Along the way, they met another man who asked them where they were going. "We are heading to Jerusalem," said the dromedary. "That's exactly where I want to go!" said the man. "Would you take me too, please?" And the dromedary replied, "Absolutely. You are most welcome to ride me." So the man said, "I really appreciate it," and pulled himself up between the dromedary's two humps. And as the dromedary progressed toward Jerusalem, he began to feel pain from the weight of the two men. But he was so pleased to be serving the men that he was able to push on, despite the pain.
After a while, they met a third man who said, "Oh! If you're going to Jerusalem, could I please ride with you?" "No problem," answered the dromedary. "I am most grateful," said the man as he pulled himself up behind the dromedary's second hump. And the additional weight caused the dromedary's back to break, and everyone fell to the ground.
And none of them made it to Jerusalem that day.
