"YOU ARE THE ONE"
February, 1997.
Dedicated to Jennifer W. Rosenberg.
I wrote this song to propose marriage to her.

I think life is a labyrinth.
It makes me so confused.
With all these paths confronting me,
Which one should I choose?
For many lonely years now,
I've wandered round and round.
But suddenly, I turned right,
And look what I have found!
You are the one,
The right one for me.
You're all that I want.
You're all that I need.
I've tried to count on people.
They've always let me down.
It makes me wonder when you'll leave,
And yet, you're still around.
I think it's time I faced the fact,
You're not like all the rest.
Devoted, caring, reliable,
On all counts, you're the best.
You are the one,
The right one for me.
Don't ask how I know.
It's clear as can be.
I know that nothing's perfect.
Perfection can't exist.
But if there's something wrong with us,
I don't know what it is.
So why should I keep searching,
When all I want is here?
I want to hold you in my arms,
Forever and a year.
You are the one.
The right one for me.
